I am a singer, singing teacher and an Alexander Technique teacher, and I’ve studied, performed and taught enough to understand the joys and difficulties of trying to succeed in the arts. Here I’ll share stories and insights, some of them mine, and some from wonderful teachers and artists who have inspired me. Open yourself to inspiration.

As a young singer I had no sense of how my body and mind interfered with my voice. After long rehearsals or lessons, my voice was often tired, my jaw was sore and my lower back ached from standing so long. My performances and auditions were hit or miss; which made me feel insecure vocally. Even after I had completed my M. Mus I was still looking for the ONE teacher who could help complete me - until I began studying the Alexander Technique. Alexander work has helped me find an ease and grounding in everything I do.

With 25 years of performing under my belt and 10 years of teaching experience, I know what it is to be a student, a teacher and a performer. I believe every student has his or her own way of learning, and I am always mindful of individual needs. I am the only singing teacher in Montreal who is also a CANSTAT approved teacher of the Alexander Technique.
